Transitional Bathroom Remodel - Huntmaster Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20882

This was a very spacious bathroom to begin with, however picking the right tile and cabinet colors created interest and a sense of vibrancy to the end user. A few minor tweaks, such as changing the tub platform and the profiling of the shower glass door, truly brought the bathroom together.

By using the spacious tub to enter the shower space, a convenient bench was created.

Modifying the bathtub platform and custom fitting the cabinet maximized utilization of the available space for storage. A cherry cabinet with a medium/dark stain gives a nice and rich contrast to the light color tile and countertop.

Framing the window with tile allowed for the inside of the bathroom to open up. The blend of the warm and cool colors in the Muretto tile achieved the connection with the outside natural beauty.

Using a diagonal pattern for the flooring gives the illusion of increased depth and width, thus making the space appear and feel larger.

Adding open shelves maximized storage space and provided easy access to daily items in the vanity cabinets. The recessed niche with a glass shelf frees up countertop space and the custom sized mirrors are framed with tile.
